Not all collectors who have been collecting this stuff for more years than I care to remember are fools who were taken in by tall storied veterans. Some had the ability to cut through the rubbish and properly document the history when they got the item. They are an important link between then and now which we only have a limited number of years to obtain for future collectors.
Of course you can also understand why some refuse to post on this forum because an incorrect condemnation, mis-quotation and breach of security of what they have or say.
I can see that you are convinced by what has been published to date and that you have nice badges based on that which is great but it has been my experience that there is never one book on a subject and that knowledge in all fields is an on-going process which in many cases changes over time as new findings are made or theories put to the test.
The danger is exactly what I now feel that there is little point in posting my badges because the judge and jury have already decided.
Now you tell me which is the better approach, close our minds and I will just quietly put my badges in the rubbish bin so no one has to suffer them any more or do we keep an open mind to new possibilities beyond what we already thought we knew,
Chris
