Andrew, this is a nice Red Merit Cross made by Egaña in the late 30´s or early 40´s. It´s the tipical model worn by Blue Division soldiers and Legion Condor veterans, and probably the most popular used among nationalist men in the Spanish Civil War. The case is not very common to find.
All the others are nice crosses and medals too, and the Campaing medal is made by Egaña too.
Cheers
Greg
You have got a nice set too, Scott. The white merit cross is not very difficult to find, but the Military Medal is quite scarce. I´m still looking for one of this.
Regards
Greg

Very nice collections! I'm still looking for a few more as well.
Not Legion Condor, but figure I could post this Blue Division Spanish War Cross (enlisted) here without too much hassle. Circa 1942 if I did my homework correctly.

Quijote, on page 9 of this thread, post #134, member ADOLPH provides some good information on Spanish Civil War & WWII-period war crosses (red and white). He seems knowledgeable on the subject, and might be able to answer your questions on crosses from earlier periods. Perhaps you can send him a private message or email with your questions.
here is the situation of Motrico, in Basque language, Mutriku, near my city.as you can see is a little town NOW,so in 1940 this was smaller than now....
will try to find the situation of Egaña.
This thread with linked to a comment today regarding a 4 piece medal bar with a Spanish campaign medal on it. I forgot how great a thread it is so I thought I would once again defib this back to life by posting my recent pickup of a LC medal bar with matching ribbon bar.
