Now I know what to look for on the these 2 medals. The Spanish awards are avialable and reasonably priced. They would make a nice compliment to my Condor Legion display.

Hi,
I******180;m glad to know this information has been useful for you. I******180;ll try to take some pictures of the different types I have in my collection.
Ciano, as I said, your red cross is a very nice example which looks to be made during the 1940******180;s. I have a few of them from different periods which I can compare with.
Hello,
I will show you some different merit militar crosses from 1864 to 1976 from the first class. But I do not know how i can do pictures in the thread ...

Marcus - Thanks for that information, i think that's really turned everything on it's head again!
Are there any illustrations of the Deumer medals & if so could you possibly scan them for us? Any other Spanish related medals in there like the Blue Division medals?
Thanks, Ant.
A list of Spanish makers, I don't know all of these makers made the Civil War awards though, but prior to that certainly Spanish awards.
The Red Military Cross was also made in Italy, as I think something was mentioned earlier in the thread to that question.
I'll find the info on dating these via the crown and get the Deumer illustrations too.
The cardboard boxes for the campaign awards don't seem to have changed from 1938 to I think of the top of my head 1974......the phone digits seem to be of little relevance in the concern of post war produced carboard boxes - so I am informed.
I'd like to have something more gospel on this.
