    Tank Destruction Badges

I find a special interest in the german Tank Destruction Badges. I would like to get a thread started to get an idea how many (original) TDB's as presented on:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/war_...ingle_tank.htm

are in the collections we all have.

There are different maker types around and many reproductions as we all know but can we get all the TDB's in our collections together on this thread as we did the Iron crosses? I'm willing to try because the TDB in black is a scarce award, I believe even scarcer than the DKG.

    Here is a kick-off:

    I have in my collection:

1 TDB Black (canvas backing and magnetictank)
1 TDB Black (wool backing and also magnetic)

Please post a reply with your TDB(s)

    Thanks,

    DJ

                      Hi all,

thanks for posting your badges .

Please keep them coming, they seem all sold out in Hamburg so they should all be among us collectors.

Here is my gold one from Ebay Germany 2001. Without any real provenance hard to say if it is pre 1945 but it is made using actual periode fabrics and in a manner we would expect, in all cases a nice and interesting addition don't you think?

Thanks for your posting, could you describe the backing material and if it is magnetic or non-magnetic please?

My "salty" example, removed from a tunic by a veteran, bought home and stuck to a board with some other 'Booty'.

Looks like the tank on the gold piece above has had the finish and details worn down.
