Those marder's shure did not have much back and top protection for the crew.And on one can see now,of post 1341-42 and any others if conected Bill,is this training in maybe germany or elsewhere or in combat area in france,germany etc...

Thanks Bill,had thought so a little,is this for just them,or many of the others too?.And not shure if before going to russia and elsewhere or not to long before the normandy landings.

If you read the comment from another member in frame#1324 it refers to training during the month of May 44 which is prior to the Normandy landings. As far as the last two shots of the SFL in Russland it could have been before or after these training photos were taken as sometimes these albums were put together by the family and therefore not in order of events as they occurred. Good example is this FJ photo album as RAD photos are in the back of the album instead of at the beginning of the album.
