Bill, I meet this paratrooper in 2006, get the same portrait and saw all documents incl. German Cross in Gold VB document.

Great! Always special meeting highly decorated veterans. In 1996 I was fortunate to spend a evening talking to FJ RKT Alexander Uhlig at a friends (Willi Fretz) house who was a former FJ who fought at Monte Cassino. He gave me a signed Portrait and also a signed copy of his biography
