    Karlo,

Thanks and if you notice in the portrait on page 111 #1662 where the FJ is wearing a Tropical side cap and FJ Badge his collar tabs are probably Blue for Medical (Sani) or Black for Pioneer....it is sometimes confusing as in most cases the tabs worn are supposed to be Yellow for Flight which includes FJ.

And I'd dare to say that it's Poland...

                      Thanks for sharing. Óscar

                        Óscar,

You got it!!! The Seller states Poland. Doing a little reading I found out that the 7th Flieger Division 1st & 2nd Battalion 2nd Regiment were involved in the capture of Deblin Airfield and Dukla Pass and the 2nd Battalion 1st Regiment was involved in some ground fighting on 24 Sep 1939 at Wola-Guloska against a Polish Artillery Regiment where the first Fallschirmjaeger fell in action.

                            Hi Bill,
I assume that you know all about the dutch bunker and have probably seen this image before, but just in case. Do you know if it is still there, as I live in the NL and it might be good place for a visit?

                            Thanks, JerryB

i didnt think the fallschirmjager set foot in poland , thats why alot of officers were a little hacked off and were extremely happy to go into norway ?

lovely photos , strange to see them in no smocks in an early combat engagement ?

They were not used in a Para role and did not jump in....the 7th Flieger and the 22nd Luftland Divisions were flown in and strictly used in the ground role towards the end of the Polish Campaign.
