Thanks to a forum member I have additional information on this DK trooper.

His name is Hubert Schürmann and fought with Witzig in the Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon 21 the former Korps-Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon. He died at the age of 44 in 1963.
