This FJ has been equiped of MP because of the ammo pouch on his belt ...
( Some days later i spoke to the one local man who dug the main trench close to this MG point 5years ago ... hewas very malicious because missed this hole , also he said about part of heavy battle damaged MP which was found 2m far from this place and he still had it , i took it from him and absolutely sure it was a weapon which is belonged to this FJ )Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.Comment

Based 0n the datas of ID tag it's 12 Kompanie of FJR4 - that unit which held position before the Russian offencive operation and they lost most of men as i wrote in the beginning , remains of the body were given to Volksbund as well . They gave the info where i found
his name was Erdmann Franz , KIA on 20 .03.1943 - this is the 1 day of action . see attached file .Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.Comment

Based on items belonged to Franz Erdmann ( belt with marking of Lg.Nachr.Rgt7 ) and phone receiver i thought he served as signalman ...
...but the main surpise was in the book Gesischte des Fallschirmjagerregiments 4, in the chapter about action on the hill Knobloch i found the text where i think wrote about this man ...I can't believe in this but you can read by yourself ...Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.Comment

I had ask the Volksbund for new informations too and the told me today(unofficially for now) that Kurt was burried on the military cemetery in DUCHOWSCHTSCHINA - the officially way takes some time.
