This other person has been able to take a piece of cloth (or a cover) and change with a piece less authentic
He also asked to make a survey on the French forum.Who is for,who is against and who had no opinion.

Authenticity is not about democracy. The piece is real or it isn't, it is not up to popular choice. Too many are involved without deep knowledge.

The same could be said for current politics in many countries, especially mine.

the rust and grime on the hooks and cover doesnt convince me.
i have a ford transit van with some spots of rust that look just as old as those hooks.
i would buy a new van, but ive spent all my money on german helmets.
as for the guy not wanting to sell it, and keep it for himself, well, everybody wants, whats not for sale.

Now John, don't you want the government to regulate this hobby and decide what is fake and what is original?

              No, you are not.

But, this is sort of like walking into a bar in the Wild West with a 6-gun strapped to your leg not knowing the gun fighting skills of those sitting at the bar!

                Well,

if this cloth is original, ( I'm open minded) then it's the first time that I see the LW splinter pattern with the ocre brown/yellow variant.

If the govt. gets involved Willi, more than likely they would just outlaw any TR focus in militaria collecting, and for the same reasons ebay has tried to eliminate it. PC. As if interest in uniforms and history of a particular fighting force is somehow tacit approval of what the government in power stood for.

This is very shallow and simple thinking. Kind of like painting every member of the US armed forces as representing every policy of the current administration. You obey your C in C, but you don't necessarily agree with him.

Hope I have not swerved too deeply into politics, but you did ask.

Sort of like how collecting stamps makes one a mail man, or...

...collecting rocks and gems makes one a geologist

...collecting campaign buttons makes one the president

                      hello of normandy

                      Hello
I joined on this forum because I am the discoverer of it covers helmet.
Numerous persons looked at him and concluded that he was good.
I am not a liar, the find comes well attic of Carentan.
If you look well at photos, there is some blood which leaves the edge by going back up on the headband.
I make him identify in the middle of week by M of TREZ for fixed.
He is not either does not have to echanger, or has to sell.
                      Put I your questions
                      Thank you

                              Hey babert or bab
do not close the door when I opened here this helmet covers.
if m Trez is not qualified with his museum has "come Holy Mountain", it has despair.
You are the specialist, comes to visit, but as you're sure of yourself, you will lose your time.
mr hogson and zahn leaves and see if they want to cross the Atlantic
I am open to discussion and not a negation of this cover .
                              a+
