Steve, are you running for office somewhere? I know an admistration who would love to have you work for them!

Sorry, but it wouldn't be for my collection.

Question, if it were genuine, why isn't there any wear to the interior crown section. The rest of the cover is worn, so why not this area?

                    I agree.

All the age is artificially created. The small spots of damage to the fabric are clear signs as well.

                      Ben,
You need to question your friend a little deeper.

These additional pics only further confirm my doubts.

                          Hi

Thanks again for the last opinions.
Here in France, it's a great battle on several forums to have more opinions on it!!!
Like here, the main opinion is that it's a fake.

I think that there is a problem with the design on the camouflage, it's not a "tropical" one like on the "tropical" Zeltbahn.

Here in France someone send the following pics:

There is a problem with the following detail:

With these pictures, now every body can say that this cover is a fake.

For me this is a repo cover , the fabric has a loose weave not at all like WW2 German.
                              Good try though .

                                Good evening,

As already stated by gingerbreadm there is a big discussion on a French forum regarding this cover.
The current owner of this cover told this one was found by himself in a attic.

He does not understand why this one could be a fake because he found it in a cloth pile in the attic and received it for free from the house's owner.

In his opinion, it's a genuine ww2 camo cover but not yet classified.

Some other collectors explained him what was wrong regarding the know covers but nothing to do. He still believes it.
