      Nice image Rob,

The SA uniform photos are not ones you see that often and from the stamps looks like an early WP.

        photos

Here are a few of mine that I like quite a bit.

The first is Georg Hanke later and Overfeldwebel and RKT with KG 76.

Not sure what he was thinking but looks up to no good.

                  This was my first Soldbuch.....

Alfred Fegert, Enlisted in September, 1939, during the Polish Campaign and assigned to the 78 Infantrie Division. Fought the last moths of the war in the West.
Fegert died three months after the war ended, probably from wounds he received during the war.

                  I found his photo haunting.

I don't know if it's happened to any of you, but when I first got this Soldbuch, his photo really affected me. I wanted to know more about him, and found some of his service record and found him on the grave list.

He is interred in the German War Cemetery in Mont-de-Huisnes (France)
Burial Block No. 7, Grave 28.

I've posted in a few threads, hoping that someone who lives near, or is visiting that area, could pay my respects, and take a photo of his resting place for me.

Alternatively, if there's a German-speaking forum member who could help me by ordering a photo of his gravesite from https://www.volksbund.de/grabschmuck/homepage.asp , I'd be happy to reimburse you for the trouble....(I do not speak a word of German, and would have difficulty using the site to order a photo.

In response to my request in this thread, member olivier today took some photographs of the gravesite of Alfred Fegert for me. The kindness of members here, continues to impress me. Please accept my thanks, once again, olivier.....

Fegert is interred in the German War Cemetery in Mont-de-Huisnes (France)
Burial Block No. 7, Grave 28.

olivier was kind enough to make the trip, and take some photos for me, and he paid my respects to Fegert by leaving a copy of Fegert's Soldbuch photo at the grave for me.

As olivier said...."This name has a face, now".

...and this one is from the WP.
The photo was made in December 1943 / January 1944. He was mentioned in the Ehrenblatt in October 1943 and got the award Honor Roll Clasp after January 30, 1944.
Look at his heavy worn German Cross, the enamel is damaged.

                              Walter-

SPECTACULAR SB/WP grouping, and beautiful photos Is that a second TDB on his sleeve in the WP photo? I know it would be non-regulation placement what with such a wide gap between the two badges, but it looks like just the very tip of a second TDB showing in the lower left hand corner. Maybe it's just the way the photo was developed........

Is this the grouping you funded by selling the Schliffke Sturmpanzer-Abt.219 Soldbuch/Wehrpass set???

Really amazing photos. Those would be hard to top!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful set with us.

This thread is amazing! What is that - 5 RK-winners on one page?
Really each of these soldbücher deserves its own thread!!!

I like the switch from one CCC to another on the last pictures.

Thanks for showing all these amazing pictures!
