Perhaps you can start posting some things from your collection as well Dennis instead and make a nice contribution instead of asking other people continues to share their collection. I find that always quite remarkable

    Erwin,

    Final post here then.

To be real honest, I really regret the fact that both you and Floris decided to delete all of your posts with photos/scans. I think most things shown in this thread are from my side now (still visible). This thread is kind of worthless now.

I think sooner or later I will just like you and Floris did, delete my scans.

Firstly I want to say that I am not taking sides or blaming anyone however it is very disappointing to see the comments, suggestions and underlying feelings being posted here. I hope it is not your last post Dennis or I hope that your value in this post is not based on the number of contributions made - because I would be a low contributor. I want to post more but a lot of my collection will end up in books. It is so hard to find new material for books so I apologise for not posting more.

I have made so many friends that post in this topic and I do not know what to say and what I have seen here. I so hope that if there are differences between individuals here then they are sorted, amended and we all can go back to posting in this wonderful topic. I like this thread very much and hope it does not die.

Please stop thinking and maybe have a look at this thread.
When I look back from last to first page I noticed that Erwin still has a lot of postings that are visible.
I didn't count each post of all contributers but your part isn't by far the biggest one for sure. (if that is important to someone)

        The reason for me to delete all postings was because of several reasons;
a: a few items have been used for books ("Operation Autumn Gale") or will be used in the future.
b: A while ago i lost interesst in collecting and sharing items here and asked a moderator to delete the complete Holland thread.
But it was decided only to delete my posting. After a while I enjoyed it again to post here and I thought that to keep this thread rollin changing it to a Holland 1940 - 1945 it may help a bit.
(back then I already told you by email that I lost a bit interrest in collecting)

What always wondered me is that you as a Holland 1945 collector (now a Holland collector) never post anything from that period on this forum.
Why? The only reason I can think is that battles/units that are unknown are unwanted.
The more info and items you share about Holland 1945 makes it probarly more wanted and sought after by other collectors and more valluable.
And then less easier to find/get by you.

But I know, I am the oldest one of the both of us and probarly already getting senil so please correct me if I am wrong.

I think we misunderstand each other. What I was trying to say is that I try to post something every now and then to keep this thread going. With both you and Erwin deleting your stuff, this thread get lot's of gaps. In my opinion that is a big loss to this great thread. I don't care how big peoples collections are and how much/what they share from their collection. Apparently you and Erwin do care about what I do share and do not share on this forum/in this thread.

I indeed show more items related to 1944, because there is a bigger interest in these battles. I try to add to peoples interest by showing documents from my collection with extra information to enjoy and (maybe) expand peoples knowledge about the battles in Holland. I also showed documents related to 1945 from my collection and I noticed there was less interest in such documents.

I am sorry Floris, that is absolutely not the reason for me. As far as I can remember you told me this some years ago, that you did not want to share to much related to the Holland battles as you were scared more people wanted documents related to the Holland battles. So that is probably reason c. for you to not share anything from your collection, but it is definitely not mine.
And hey, everybody seriously interested in documents related to Holland 1945 knows exactly which unit fought in the frontline during the April 1945 battles. (I recently heard that even you can add something related to Holland 1945 to this thread. )

You are ofcourse free to reply, but I am not looking for any further useless discussions. So this is my final reply in this useless discussion. I hope we now can go back to posting interesting documents related to the Holland battles.

Not to show anything? That's weird as I did have shown several pieces from my own collection. But thanks for pointing out reason c for me as I wasn't aware of this.

That's exactly the reason I asked for it.
Not many people know about these battles so it would be nice if someone who's main focus is on these battles could share some documents and tell us a bit more about it.

It's not a secret that I have added a new soldbuch to my collection wich has nahkampftagen listed for Holland '45.

And you're right to keep this thread back on the track instead of these dicussions.
But sometimes things should be said I think and a forum is the right place.
            Cheers.

To answer you. I only removed the Deathcard of Michael Wieland in post 4, for multiple good reason after i had some very negative issues with a collector. Seeing the half dozen "speaking of volumes" threads about Michael Wieland which were opened there after, i'm glad i did. Interesting that it was never mentioned in his "research"were he got the information from the deathcards ( which apperently surfaced somewhere )from. But that aside

I have no problem if you remove your scans. Perhaps you can ask the new owners to remove them

A Thank you to the other people who contributed to this thread and good luck with it further

                Erwin

Thanks Rick. I think this is a good idea.

Hopefully by posting some of my items, we can get this topic back on track.

Here are some of my death cards relating to German soldiers killed at or around Arnhem.

                        Very nice deathcards Scott
Especially the first one with the "hauserkampf" text on it.

Hi, Just thought I would add some scans to this thread of a Wehrpass to Gefreiter Wolfgang Wittkopp, who was awarded his PAB in Silver whilst with Pz Brigade 107 and was MIA on 01/12/1944.

                                Lynton,

That is a VERY nice Panzer-Brigade 107 Wehrpass As you are probably already aware, the 2.Kompanie was equipped with Panthers
                                I've sent you a PM
