No I am not going to talk about the Cross.
About the engraving, my mother is a certificated / qualified jeweller, and I sometimes visit the goldsmith who is working there, he is also a real master in engraving, and believe me, a man (or woman) who understand his (or her) own craftsmanwork, and works not only with machines but also out his (or her) free hand can make things look like engraved yesterday - for a weddingring - or engrave it like it was done hundreds of years ago - on a 18th century serverplate.
