Brian...you have been hanging here just too long

The tone of your post suggests that we won't hear anything at all.....

I have a $ to say you are absolutely correct!

It's an exercise in futility trying to save people from themselves. Time and again 'variations' have been defended by the usual Kahoona here. It's for you, Dave, Dietrich, et al, to prove it's fake. Did you see it made? Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's pointless. You know what's right, I know what's right and we all disagree on a very limited subset. We enjoy a brotherhood here but we are in danger of getting hit by 'friendly' fire if we aren't careful. Conflict of interest, lack of objectivity... Remember Ralph Nader's book "Who Runs Congress". A very early written tome on the influence of 'big business' on Congress. Special interests dictate the law to a great extent when they are impacted.

            Brian....yes, an incredible PARADOX!!!

Poor old Willie Stump...he was a bit ahead of his time, blunt, outspoken and arrogent in his knowledge BUT weighed down by the masses and the 'Megga' dealers and their NEW introductions!

Bill was a lone living witness on this forum to some fakery at Herr Klietmann's house of Godet. But with him gone is the ability to bring up the subject.

I haven't used German in many years but I remember one particular phrase.

Fress Scheise, viertish millionen Flieger koennen nicht erren.

Yeah, my spelling is rusty but the point should be clear. We have lots of new sparkly stuff for us Flieger to fress.

Actually, I was wrong. If one looks at page 473 of Detlev's new catalog, one will see a 800 L/12 with another shape. So Juncker had (4) different dies for the oaks. Or so it seems...

OK, for you newbies, TWO DIES period. Don't get me started on the sponsor's cased oaks that were the subject of thousands of views.

                          Dave-

I will loan you mine. That is where I have been getting the juncker RKs!

It is really too bad about all this, as all it does is cast further doubt over the already muddy issue of oaks and oaks and swords restrikes. Would anyone own one of these pieces at this point that does not have rock solid provenance? It really spooks me when someone like Gordon says he does not care to own either piece due to concern over restrikes!

Tom, I thought you had half a brain, I gave you too much credit. You should be using that stamp on oaks and swords. I'm sure someone can make some cases.

Here is a prototype RK w/oaks/swords I have in my collection. It dates to about 400 A.D. Tribal but absolutely a cross of the wehrmacht.

This one also tied around the neck.

Let me put my rabbit down just long enough to ask: Could someone please post a pic of a guaranteed good (iron-clad provenance) "L/12" Oaks and Swords?

Damn- math was not a strong subject for me. I guess with the same labor I could be making about 3 times as much with the same stamp. I will consider your advice and retool .

Brian- Does your oaks and swords have provenance? Perhaps you could blow up that image for better details, as something just does not look right.
