Can you please post a close up of the fourth VB?
A VB at that date should have been written with the "Führerschreibmaschine"!

Have seen some from this frame in both styles why, not a single clue.

No other comment's on Angel's VB? It appears to be quite an interesting example.

I have to agree with Ludwig. It is very strange to see this typeset on a 1945 dated VB. Every 1945-dated VB I've seen has been done on a Führerschreibmachine. Earlier examples from 1943-44 are mixed, one finding some with this kind of typeset.

Also, strange is the use is this style stamp, which again had been used in past years by the HPA, but seems to have stopped around May '44.

Lastly, I do not believe the Maisel signature is correct. His signature is remarkably consistent. Shown below is one from an RK VB that I own which shows an original Maisel signature and the stamp normally encountered in 1945.

It's possible that someone stepped in at the HPA to handle RK VB's that day and signed Maisel's name. That could also explain the different typewriter and stamp. I do not have any examples that were signed on 8 Feb '45 in my database - does anyone else?

              Regards,
              John

Piece came from the family, not a bulletproof just more info. I have seen an Oakleaves citation dated January 26th with the same typewriter.

                Want to see more.

Another strange thing is that Haases VB don't have his first name Horst in it. I think most VBs from 45 also had the first name of the recipient.

I check my archives and all except Haase and the oakleaves I showed are written with the Führermachine and all shows name and surname.

                            What a mistery.

Karl Schusters is signed that date. His VB is in this thread.
