Hi to all! Does anyone knows the deal with this strange RK? According to an auction made by HH, this was the Knight's Cross awarded to SS-Obersturmbannführer Kurt Launer. It's a Zimmermann piece, with "800" and "20" markings.

What happened to the cross?

It's not a ground dig, because Launer died in 1990. He was awarded the RK on August 15th, 1943 as Kommandeur II. / SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 6 "Theodor Eicke".

The ek1 is a fake and the rk a ground dug Zimmermann (probably). The provenance is total trash imo.
