    Junckers 800 "dot" RK

For those of you who asked for scans of the 800 "dot" Junckers that I have in my collection, here they are.
The RK was awarded to a Stuka pilot, and I also have a letter from his CO sent to his widow along witht eh RK when he was killed in Russia in 1944.
I also added a shot of the RK alongise a couple of other choice items while I am in a "camera" mode !
    (Have a nice weekend all)

    Beautiful as always Chris!

Does anyone know if all 'dot' Junckers were late war RK's?

      Exceptional nice and rare RK.

Best of all is that the recipient is known.

      Thanks for sharing Chris

        Hi Richard,
On the contrary, I believe them to be early war manufacture. The first one I had (since sold on) was actually awarded in 1940.
I purchsed the cross in the thread as an 800 Junckers, and was nicely surprised when I saw the "dot"

                RK plus

Very nice! Per Gordon's book, it would seem that the unmarked and 800 marked crosses are the earliest.

                  Chris,

any chance to post a full picture. There wasd a discussion that early Junckers used a different core. A picture of the numerals would be helpfull.

                  Thanks,

...The very early ones (given to the Fieldmarschalls e.g.) are neusilber framed and without any marks.

                        Here are some more images.
These early Junckers seem to come in at a lighter wieght that the L/12's and "2" marked crosses which invariably come in at around 34g.
This one weighs 31.63 g....it also has the eggshell semigloss satin texture to the core that the L/12's all seem to have.
