I apologise for the poor photos, the light was terrible in the auction house that day.

I hope no one minds photos of the APB here as it's obviously not a Cross of the Wehrmacht

The DKs look OK, but I can't say I'm overly keen on the back of that Guerrilla Warfare Badge.

Pseudo-Juncker?? If so, and if original, a Berlin maker, which would put paid to the idea of the products of firms in Ludenscheid only being involved in the assembly of these boards.

Here's one that was previously condemned (rightly, or wrongly) on the Forum. Different dies, but pretty much the same hardware.

Dave, how did the droop tail SK look to you?

Looks like an elongated oval base to the catch on the APB. I believe Bob Hritz has collected APB's for over 40 years, so he's probably the man to ask.

I'm sorry Sal but I have no experience with SCs and I can't tell a good from a bad but it looked y'know "ok"

                      Dave.

Just out of sheer curiosity, which auction house was it?

Looks really similar to the early '57ish reverse hardware

Looks like someone liked the S&L DKiS for $4k+

The APB's are so controversial in their own right that I have PM'ed Bob Hritz and asked him to take a look and give us his opinion. I'm certainly not qualified to do so.

I've blown up the catch plate and lightened it up a bit. Will try the same for the hinge area.
