Hi Sepp ! Do you know the name of the collector who received his 57 RK from the family ?? I read it some where, but I can't recall his name ? I picked up another very nice 57 RK from of all people a local collector who had it since the 70's. It's uncased, magnetic 2nd pattern core, original ribbon. He told me a RKT friend of his ordered it for him from S&L !!! Nice friend !!! Tom

My friend, I don't have the name but anything can be found nowadays.

As far as i know Riehs never had a 57er RK. He always wore his wartime cross with the swastika visible. All his decorations were taken away from him by the police, because of violation against § 86 and § 86 a. After the process the RK was sent back to him, but it got lost during the shipping. So he never saw his RK again.
The NPD presented him a new RK after this incident, but i am sure that it was no 57er version!

That´s correct. Riehs never had a 57er RK. The story of his wartime piece is well known here in the german collectors scene.

Well I guess I must be thinking of someone else. If I could find the book or article I read it would tell the correct RKT. Now this will drive me NUT's until I can solve this mystery ????? Thanks, Tom If I can find the info I'll post it right away.

The Bundeswehr got founded in 1955.. the 57 rule in 1957. Could be the reason?
