I've read somewhere that this set of awards were stolen after his death... what's the current status?
A collector from another german forum had contact with the son and they made a request to all collectors to find out more.
A few items had been sold and the new owners gave back the pieces to the son of Dr.Neumann. Even his 57er / wartime frame with jeweler core came back to the family.

From what i know most items are back now .......

Hungarian veteran Joó Sándor, hero during the Siege of Budapest. I believe that's a '57 EKII, right?

Hi Tom! this video still comes from Donitz's funeral. These are Niemack's wartime oaks and swords, right?

He got the set stolen after he died?

Hi Sepp, No, he had them stolen "before" he died. And yes he wore his wartime Oaks & Swords with his 57 RK. From what I remember reading someone broke in to his home while he was away and took everything. Shame.....Tom

Hi Sepp, I met Darges at a OdR reunion. I got a signed photo, but not much conversation from him. I don't think he cared much for us collectors being invited for the informal afternoon gathering. The OdR would set aside a few hours just for us collectors to meet , talk to and get photos from the RKT's. Tom
