    Gerald N. Reed

I am looking for anything from Gerald N. Reed USMC 2nd Division, 2nd Marines, E Co. He was in the first wave at Tarawa and fought on Saipan. Everything of his was sold off by a family member in the midwest. Any leads would be much appreciated.
    Thanks, Paul

Update to my post. A photo of the Silver Star for Joseph Schlachter was posted on USMF on October 26th, 2011. The photo was taken from an unknown dealer's site. If anyone recognizes the background in the photo, please let me know.

        Thanks!

Anything Orignal to Col. Robert L. Coffey Jnr 388 FS / 365 FG

            Hi

I am researching Lt.Col. Robert L. Coffey, Jnr 388 Fighter Squadron, 365 Fighter Group (WW2) for tribute in a collectors journal.

He received the DFC with 2 oakleaves / Purple Heart / Air Medal / Bronze Star / Belgian and French Croiz de Guerres

Does anyone have anything original to him such as medals / documents / citations / photograph(s) in uniform ? Anything considered.

I could sure use them to support my research. Copies of docs would also suffice.

            Best Regards

            Tony A.

Looking for Leonard Pipitone's Purple Heart

                    Hello,
I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for my grandfathers Purple Heart medal and award document. The medal and document were stolen in a home invasion around 1952. If by chance it survived being dumped in the trash and made it into the hands of a collector, I would love to buy it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

                    Thanks
                    Vic

I recently picked up a large grouping to a husband and wife who were both highly decorated Air Force veterans, however I have reason to believe that some of the medals and documents were bought by someone else at the estate.

                                Anything named to:

Lt Col John Potter, served from 1951 to 1979
Lt Col Joanne Potter, served from 1959 to 1979 (maiden name Mulhollen)

Most of the full size medals are missing from the group (DFC, Air Medal, etc)

                                Thanks, Hayden
