I have to thank everyone here for the excellent thread.
I spent two days studying and setting up a manual on this subject (my son complained to me that I did not exit the front of this topic). I live in a country that has no military culture and books on these subjects are rare when it does not exist. I do not have one if you want these badges, but I loved to know more about it.
Confess that I was very happy to read the post AndyMac. So said the soldier killed in combat Richard Sonnenschein was being remembered, that's why I collect items like these, to remember the achievements of those who risked their lives for a cause.
I who was a soldier, I know what it is and honor their memory lets not forget their stories.
