Found this stuff in one of 90th Light's boxes of family junk. Seemingly some relative of his brought them back from France in 1918

Nice items. Let's see them posted individually, front and back.

            Don,

This one showed up on another forum. What do you think? There is no backing plate, the pins are flat and there is a piece of cloth on the back.

              Stefan,

Falkenburg & Richter were in Coblenz.

I'd still like to see the back. Is it flat or convex?

Chip, I think it has a chance but would still like to see the back.

I don't think Don K. would mind me posting these here, because he was asking for opinions on the other forum.

I'm not sure what to make of this backing paper. The needle holes are quite evenly spaced for a field sewing job. There are no thread marks where the thread would have creased the paper when it was pulled tight. The top wool looks like it has small puckers from the material being squeezed between the thread loops, which is and indication that it was sewn on something. The question is was this done during the period or for effect?. As far as the badge itself, I can only spot the most obvious of repros.

Possibly (or trying to be) a Falkenburg Richter badge. It lacks some depth when compared to the ones I have. Note the ammo belt detail.

Can you check to see if the badge is hollow stamped?
