    Genossen,
The Correct Formula is, "Liberate the Oppressed Workers of Canada in the struggle of Class war against the Military-Industrial Complex"... this lack of Political Perception will have to be Noted.. Nice Pictures.

Nice ten buttons overcoats Genossen ! Redabaran have you found a partner in crime then? Is he a member here or is his political background still being checked?
      Well done Genossen!

I forgot to mention that I salute your transfer, Genosse Redbaran, from the Grenztruppen der DDR to -I presume- the Mot. Schützen (if you matched your partner in crime)
        ...Weiss ist unser Waffenfarbe..."

Consider it only a temperoray duty (I didnt have a matching Grenztruppen overcoat for my friend )

Going into Canada the guy that gave us the run down of questions was rather...unfriendly...
But coming back the US Border..uhh...whatever you call them... got a real kick out of it and thought it was cool

                Genosse! This is fabulous! Congratulations
Where did you find such an atmospheric place?
That mean unforgiving look is something that I shall find hard to match. You are a beacon of light pointing to higher and higher achievements!

THe black and white photos add a look of authenticity! Bravo Genosse RedBaran. You, might i say, 'DDR-esque' backdrop seems more characteristic of Michigan than Ohio! Good work!

Excellent backdrops, the crumbling infrastructure is very suggestive of Eastern European deterioration I have seen and you'd have to nitpick on details (i.e. power transformers) to see things that are patently different from the ones you'd see in a similar abandoned installation in the DDR.

With one exception... a grafitti-tagged standpipe in the Workers' and Peasants' paradise? Unmöglich!!!

Reminds me of the story about how during filming for "The Lives of Others" they had to send a crew out every morning to paint out the grafitti that had cropped up overnight on the exteriors they were using so that they would look like the very clean and untagged DDR.

But back to the photos, excellent, excellent stuff, Justin!

Nice photos, but for the best effect you have to add that aged look:

Then there is the always fun old snapshot look:

                            Genosse RedBaran11,
Your Images are incorrect a Grenzer in a DDR Production Centre will be surrounded by activity and record breaking production... these images show only lack of Centrally Controlled Peoples means of production, only Capitalist mismanagement and lacking the Political Perception of the fabric of Society.

Very true Genosse Kartofelpreußer, a Progressive State with the correct level of Internal Security never has such unlawful problems caused by Wreckers and Economic Criminal Gangsters.

Genosse! trust you to find something negative to say ... Admit it: you are just jealous and for good reasons! So am I actually
The industrial complex that is the backdrop to these photographs was unfortunately located right against the anti-fascist protective barrier, and it is due for demolition, so that it will not interfere in the line of fire in the defence of the Heimat... It was for this purpose undoubtedly that Genosse RedBaran11 was inspecting it
