I had a look at the stitching.....it's just a handmade (extended buttonhole) stitch. Not a machine stitch, so unable to date.

      What price a Denison

I can only imagine it is because it is a good size and in good nick but it defies prices that these are realising at the moment!

Ebay is very uncertain a few weeks ago a size 18 bd no insignia made £310 I put one on same size and as good, known owner, couldn't get a start at £150. RMR

It's a bit more realistic now since the highest bid has been cancelled. A novice buyer with zero feedback and 8 bid retractions???

may I ask for opinions on these windproof trousers?

the tag is different to the other ones I've seen. And the print looks a little bit different too: The overprint of the dyes: on the others the overprinted colour shines through more than on these pants.

I agree, normally "breech" is written with a single R.

I have no problems with it Ivan, though it is hard to judge from these tiny picures.

The pictures are very small to get a decent look at the berets characteristics / details. What I DO NOT like is that there are “No returns”. The other thing I find amusing is the sellers BS sales tactics.

                              I quote:

                              “Hi EVERYONE,

I JUST WANTED TO SAY, THE RESPONSE TO THIS BERET HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING!

BUT, IF IT DOES NOT SELL TODAY, I WON'T BE ADVERTISING IT AGAIN, AS I CAN'T KEE UP WITH THE EMAILS. IT WILL GO BACK INTO MY HUSBANDS COLLECTION” (retrobaby1963).

I find this statement quite funny, because obviously her “husband” collects militaria and if you look at “her” history, she sells quite a bit of militaria.

                              Hmmmm Something fishy here…

The beret in the flesh !!!

                                Hi Guys
The seller saidly is selling her husbands items off as he can no longer see them to appreciate them and as she knows nothing it became very quickly too much for her to deal with and stopped the 1st listing of the beret early then she got even more questions and offers she decided to relisted it even refunding a payment for the beret ! she decided to start the listing at £500.00 which was the top offer on it with an option of a bin on it for £1,000.00 I could not see nothing wrong with the beret and had asked for extra pics how ever got no reply due to the above,
How ever arfter I had won it i was able to get in touch with the buyer and had a frend who lived 2 miles away go and check it for me which he did for me and collected it heres a link to the other thread on the BMBF http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...614#post180614.
I can say it has had a at least 1 badge attached at some piont and mayby even 2 diffrent typs of parchute regt badges being 3 hole its a posablity of being an OX AND BUCKS light infantry officers bronze cap badge I will know more when I get out my officers OX AND BUCKS badge !!
