Thoughts on this ebay item

I know the pics in the auction are bad, but hopefully I'll be able to get at the better ones very soon!

Compare the lettering style and you'll see it is identical in all of the pics.

For reference, here is the example in Peter Taylor's book.

I'm just going to get my pics of them in the Hartenstein off the other PC...

The wings look fine IMO, I wouldn't dispute these!
But please show us some better pictures of the titles, from what I could make out they were different from the ones at Hartemstein. But I must admit I didn't ask for better pictures as you wisely did.

Pics from the Hartenstein....I took pics of the same BD as you plus the title they have pinned on a board with some other insignia.

You will see these not only match Peter Taylor's title but they also match my own Parachute title. The lettering style on all of these was near identical and they simply do not make fakes this good.

The thing is you have to be happy with what you are buying. From the photos in the auction I just did not like them. Maybe I should have asked for extra pics?

Would I have paid that much for them? To be honest no. Prices are just getting out of hand and things are starting to get as bad as collecting German stuff

Indeed Ade, prices are getting out of hand but still I think they have a way to go before they reach the dizzy heights of German stuff. Yes, the fakes are getting much better too, but thankfully they are not quite at the level of that SS cloth! YET!

Will post pics as soon as I have them. I think by connection is playing up too because the forum keeps logging me out.

Check these two ebay auctions out
Both appear to be Glider Pilots Denisons, named to the owner.
The first one has a Irvin style woolen collar, sure looks nice,
Prices are out of my league but I thought some of the forum might be interested. What is your opinions of the Glider Wings?
