The only flub I see is Brad Pitt's post WW2 Russian goggles. They should've just used US B-8's all around.

Captured in Normandy from a German.
        Pretty simple.

They're postwar. Wartime Russian goggles had raised air vents on top of the frames.

To be 131 or not to be.

            Hi Lloyd,

That second Tiger film 'still' does n't convince me it's 131. The first one definitely is, but my guess is the second is one of the 'props'.

As I said before, it will be interesting trying to spot the real Tiger shots.

            Just my opinion.

            SF.

Where were the Tiger scene's filmed, over here in the UK ? I assume they didn't ship the Tiger over to the US ???

As regards spotting the real Tiger, just need to keep an eye out for the shell damage under the mantlet beneath the barrel

EDIT: Did not realise Bovs Sherman M4E8 is also in the film !

                Tiger filming

131 was filmed, as the other hardware, in the UK. There was/is much made of the filming [ remember the comments related to 11th November ].

I doubt you'll see the 'graze' on the u/s of 131's barrel on most/all of the film.

If you can create the illusion of a Tiger, using only the upper half , and you disguise an early version for a late war tank, I suspect it will be somewhat more difficult than that.

Hope so anyway. Will be good to see, can't wait.

                SF.

                  Hi

Yes I am really looking forward to seeing the film !! I can only assume the cinemas will be full of blokes like us !! haha not really a chick flick is it !!

So do you think they will use the 131 Tiger for much footage, will be a shame if they use too much CGI, then again, they would have to be really careful with the old beast 131 ! Cheers

Cool, I was in Bovington Museum last spring, was great to be stood next to the beast, I can only imagine what it must have been like in a Cromwell tank coming up against an animal like that !!!......not in Tunisia obviously

Yeah, sorry I am rambling. The Tiger 131 was captured in Tunisia, was thinking about Villers-Bocage and the destruction caused by Wittman
                          No more now !!
