Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Austria during which I was able to visit the Obersalzberg on a number of occasions. I think Tim and others have shown great photos and mine are very similar so no point repeating. I thought these may be of interest to you also.
I believe this is what used to be Dietrich Ekhart (spelling?)'s house. It is quite a way from the Berghof (5 or 10 minutes by car..)Comment

The same. I guess the small blocks of concrete held wooden posts which supported the roof. The large blocks on the sides were part of the walls. I understand that the structure was mainly wood.Comment

During my serach for another famous landmark I came across this strange structure. Some kind of shelter, only large enough for one man and not enough space to move around so not meant for fighting. Air raid shelter.....
