    Lee,

That mismatch worries me a bit. It would help to see the reverse of shoulder patches if there are signs of additional holes for branch badges that were there and someone replaced those with AF propellers. It can also be legitimate tunic but I'd consider quite carefully before spending big money.

    Rgds,
    Miikka

      Hi again,

Here is quite rare tunic, coastal artillery m/22 for highest NCO rank. Not sure what that's in English but in Finnish it's (was at that time) erikoismestari. Maybe Sondermeister in German?

What does V1 on the shoulder board stand for? Never heard or seen that before, not what i can remember anyway.

              Thanks Hans!
I've tried to find confirmed info about V1-also but at the moment best "quess" is "Varikko 1" (arsenal/depot in English?).

Miikka, Varikko makes sense to me. Maybe i can pull some strings and ask some contacts of mine regarding finnish coastal artillery and V1.

                      That would be great, Hans

That "erikoismestari" could have been "asemestari" at some depot...

                          Dear Miikka,

i must honestly say that i did forget about those Thanks for showing them

I have never seen the left and top middle one before but i have one like the right one. Are there any inscriptions on the left one on the obverse? Do you know anything regarding them, like unit or history?

                            Hans,

If I recall on the badge on left has manufacturer's mark and silver stamp on the back. It's for VP 5 ie. Signals Batalion 5 from Winter war!

In the middle above is JR14 badge ie. infantry regiment 15 and below that is Uhtua-area badge, for troops that fought/were located in Uhtua. Both are only manufacture stamped on back.

                              Terve Miikka,

it´s to bad that you can´t show us a better pic of those badges. I realy like VP5 and JR 14 badges I have several different types of these kinds of Unit badges in my own collection, when ever i find a new one i have to get it

                              Here is my Uhua badge

...when I get that display re-framed I'll picture that VP5!

But here are the others as that vet wore on his officer belts shoulder strap (I've duplicates from those).
