    Very nice display Mr. Steel

Have you ever seen (non-SS)finnish soldier wearing EK2 ribbon on button hole in war time pictures?

      Jani,

There is an excellent Osprey Aircraft of the Aces book (#23) on the Finnish Air Force in WW2, and there are pics of the EK2 ribbon being worn in the buttonhole by Air Force members. If you have it, look on pages 31, 45, 61, and 76.

Thanks to you all for the compliments! I'll post more bit later.

And Jani, yes I've seen pics of pilots wearing EK2 ribbon on button hole and also pics from Petsamo where some JR14 infantry officers had ribbons on button holes!

But no Finnish airforce 2nd ltn got EK1 so "just for display purposes only"...

Here is one pic of our late neighbour's m/36 tunic, ie. same vet who's decoration & badges are on that wall display. He was reserve officer, signals lieutenant. He was in JR 14 (infantry regiment 14) which fought also with German units up in north.

Here is another pic from the tunic where JR 14 unit badge can be seen on sleeve. These badges were not that common within Finnish units, some units had and some did not. These were unofficial but silently approved by commanders. Only official was armoured units "arrow"-badge which was worn on right arm.

              Hej Hans,

I'll try to take a pic from those later on, let's see how it goes...

The m/22 set up was made for Tod Rathbones pages to show some example of Finnish m/22. You see, I've airforce m/22 great coat and fur cap but actually I don't have m/22 airforce uniform.. So pls step out who ever has one to sell for me!!

Uniform under the great coat is coastal artillery m/22 (which is also very rare). They had same pants & breeches as did airforce so those are ok withe either tunic. Both had same colour in tunic's collar ie. dark blue so thats also ok what is peaking out on this set... But tunic itself is grey with coastal artillery while airforce had dark blue... Display purposes....

Here is pic from that coastal artillery set. Lighting was not that good but I'll post another one where the dummy has also coastal artillery m/22 great coat on shoulders and on the left you can see part of civil guard m/27 uniform.

I forgot to mention that this set is also id'd. Medal bar is not original but made as the original owner had it. Major in parade dress with parade belt & sword & medals.

Id'd signals major complete m/36 with piping on shoulder boards indicating tunic to be early model. Also officer belt is from the same man.

                  Have a Happy New Year!

I forgot to post this one earlier when I posted those coastal artillery pics.

Coastal artillery m/22 visor cap. Like navy cap but grey in colour. It has "wrong" cord to match major's dress, it should be golden.

Thank you all for your compliments!

Yes, complete coastal artillery enlisted set would be great to get... I've only seen one of those Donald Duck hats... Not for sale, suprisingly

Here is one id'd set, m/22 major of light infantry. I wish I'd get that medal bar this officer had...
