Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Thanks Lee! Your items are in great shape and NCO tunics are getting harder and harder to find in here! Cap is private purchase and unofficial model, maybe winter war era when there was not enough uniforms for the troops! Is the cocade plastic? If so, you might want to replace it with one made of metal. Plastic one is same in appearance but was issued only after the war.
Cheers,
Miikka

Thanks Miikka
The cockade is metal actually (camera flash makes it look plastic). Here is a photo of the stampings inside.
I lucked out with this set actually as I got it from a fellow forum member who decided to liquidate his Finnish uniform set (I believe he decided to focus on firearms exclusively); he had a few tunics and another standard-issue field cap with red lion insignia. Somebody out there has these -- maybe they will post here?
Thanks again for the comments--I am very happy with this set and hope to expand on my Finnish collection.

Hi Lee!
Sorry about that cocade mixup, flash can do strange things... See my pilot badge's enamels...
Yous cap is actually covernment issue, SA-stamp confirms that! Maybe it was some test model and never came to actual production. If there is a year stamp pre -45 it's a definetly a keeper!
I run into that AF tunic recently on the web. It looks to be in ok shape and it's early model m/36. Is't that year stamp 37 in there? Pin or needle is bit blocking the view... Piping was discontinued on shoulder boards in 1941 in order to save in manufacturing costs. Also lion was removed from shoulders around that time and only branch insignia remained. (Lions on shoulders used to indicate active/career officer and reserve officers did not have those at any point, at least officially).
What worries me a bit is the different shade of blue on collar patches and shoulder board pipings. Or at least it looks different from the pic. AF used to have bright blue piping (same as in collar patch) and Finnish White Guard and (career) officer school had dark blue piping. Ask the seller to send you a pic where collar patch and shoulder board are side to side so you can compare the blue colours!
Other thing is the price. How much seller is asking from you? You can PM or email me the price mteras@sci.fi
Cheers,
Miikka
