An interesting group to the highly decorated Oberleutnant Rudolf Scheidig, an observer who flew with II, III, IV Gruppen KG55. He was in action on the first day of the war. He flew 9 combat missions in the Polish campaign, 26 in the Battle for France and the attack on the low countries and 68 in the Battle of Britain and the Blitz up to 31/5/1941. From the start of the Russian campaign up until the 10/6/1942 he flew 116 combat missions. He was in action for the entire war, he was awarded the EKII on the 24/11/39, the EKI on the 18/9/40, Spange bar in Bronze, Silver and Gold, on the 25/1/42 he received the Honour goblet, on the 16/7/42 he was awarded the DKiG and on the 15/3/43 the Krim shield. Rudolf Scheidig survived the war and became a member of the KG55 veterans association.<O</O
The group consists of three documents, his 1943 and 1944 efficacy reports, both documents are signed by Willie Antrup Geschwaderkommodore, and the 1944 document is also signed by Wilhelm Mylius Gruppenkommandeur of II Gruppe and Knightscross winner. The third document is a 16/7/1942 dated document to update his Wehrpass. <O</O

The first document is His 1942 Wehrpass update.

                Hi Martin,<O</O
These ones are for you, as I think you have more than a passing interest in Wilhelm Mylius (owning his Honour Goblet for starters)<O</O
I picked these photos up during the summer from a forum member, he said that they came from Mylius estate ( who Knows, but they are original period photos)<O</O

Not in best of condition, but a nice group to a late war pilot, I picked it up at the War & Peace show in 2010. It’s to an Unteroffizer Bernhard Fritsch he flew with IV gruppe KG55. The group consists of his flugzeugfuhrer document, his flugzeugfuhrerschein, (Pilots licence) his segelflugzeugfuhrer (glider pilots licence), his soldbuch and a wartime photo of him with his pilots badge and glider badge. The soldbuch is missing its cover and first page and the licences are intact but not in the best condition. Bernhard Fritsch received the pilots badge on the 9th December 1943, his pilot’s licence shows that he was qualified to fly the Ju52, the Ju88 and the He111. He served with 13th Staffel KG55 from 11th May 44 and 11th Staffel KG55 from 26th Aug 44, He was promoted to Unteroffizer on the 1st June 44. By late 1945 he was serving with a Flak regiment, His Soldbuch shows no entries for awards or decorations.<O</O
