Getting better, need to fix up a few areas where it hasn't blended so well, lower his eye brows and bit of stuble then the lacquer. I'll be glad to finish the bl*#dy thing! Its been a nightmare...

How you have resolved the problem of the feet?
And the problem of the great calf too much?
How do you do to put the boots to the mannequin?
            Thanks.
            Regards, Luca.

This Thread is simply amazing, the mannequin repaints/rebuilds by Mark are spectacular.....apart from his more spectacular and amazing Afrikakorps collection...WOW

The most common problem is the face on the mannequin themself, the new ones have a femenine look and complexion that is very, very dificult to hide, even with the most agressive paint job, my solution....epoxy putty and an airbrush.

With the epoxy putty you can change or rebuild the face of one of these new mannequins.

The ones Mark have and others shown are very good in looks and this step is not nesessary, they just need a paint job to bring them to life.

I had a commision some time back from a great collector to rework an A. Hitler mannequin face, even as this mannequin was custom made and expensive the look and finish had a lot to be desired.....here are the before and after of the face with my technique.

Hope it give more ideas to dress up all those wonderfull collections outhere with no so wonderful finish mannequins

                  Federico

                  ps/PLEASE excuse my grammar!!!!!!!

This are one of those mannequins that only need a good paint job, I did this repaint(and several others) for my good friend Rodolfo amazing collection.

The faces on these mannequins are in my opinion superb. He told me they are from the 1970's.

This are photos by Rodolfo posted on the forum, but I have his permission to use them for this thread.

This is indeed a great thread. Federico i really like your paintwork also . I like to experiment also with paint so you can create a great looking mannequin. Here are the results of my two mannequins
