I noticed the division sign was different from the pictures, having a bigger and different shape sheild. Interesting, great photo. Regards Paul.

Hi Paul,
Not sure I really follow you here, the Schwimmer above is of course in the Regt Stab of SS PzRgt 1, the 1st SS and 12th SS shields were different shapes for most of the war, the only time that the 1st SS shield was similar to the 12th, was long before the 1st was a division, back in 1940-41, but it did not last long before becoming the shape you see above.
