VW Kubel
Hi,
Great Kubel and photos, but what about making the 12 SS divisional insignia more accurate, they only had one design version of their divisional sign, used on everything.
Attached are a couple of examples of it.

I see what you mean the shield is more spade shape. The Rune is different on some of them. Over all looks smaller. It was painted by hand, may be hard to remove. Do you have a large version. The oaks leaves are wrong but that was me. thanks for the advice , I will see what I can do regards Paul.Comment

Hi Paul,
Glad you have not taken offence at my comments, it was originally a stencil that was either left with the gaps in the lines that stencils typically have or was filled in by hand, that is what really accounts for any minor differences.
Attached is a photo of one next to a Jerrycan that can be used as a scaling device, but have now also found a copy I took of an original sign many years ago in France on the front of a scrapyard Wespe.
The shield is 110mm wide and from the very top of the shield to the lowest part of the oakleaves is 145mm.
Its not a very big sign but it never varied, seen on PzIV down to Motorcycles, attached also are two VW Kubel photos.

Thank you so much for the help, I was not happy with the oak leaves and was going to change them. I appreciate people who have an eye for detail, I was messing around during the lock down, so have to find a way to remove the old one. Cheers thanks for taking the time and trouble to post. Hi Paul,
You ought to try makinng a stencil, they are easy enough to do, I did this for a Schwimmer I restored once, see below.
This vehicles was in the Aufklarungs Zug of the Stab/ SS Pz Rgt 12. They had VW166's and BMW R75's.
