    Nice

Nice contents in the last example, my late war ones I think are marked rxo 45 (I would have to look) and are in Ord. tan... in one of these was my late war oiler. I also found one of these kits for a .22 caliber rifle and one in bakelite material with odd bakelight oiler.

      Hello,

I have posted this somewhere else (the Achtung panzer forum) but it could be interesting here as it is also related to RG34.

Carles, thanks for posting those photos. That's the first one I've seen. Is the RG34 kit marked?

A lucky find (not by me) at a local flea market. Cleaner than my other mint set. RCO45

That's a great find Willi. Did your friend find it here locally or overseas? Any photos of the contents and markings ? This is one of the few makers I'm still looking for.

Just popped another look at this thread and WOW! Willi - what a super tan set that last one is!
When are the G43 pouch makers gonna get started on "rco 45" cleaning kits?
All kidding apart - there's an arm and a leg waiting for an RG34 like that one!

just noticed another type of oil bottle, this one just has the screw bottom like other later war types, but does not have the crimped top, this one in a tin that also has the late type chain

just picked up this RCO 44 cleaning kit in tan off ebay, saw in the poor picture that the contents where not regular, but now realise the pull through is for a .22 calibre as it is smaller when compared to a regular one,

not sure on the oil bottle though? its bakelite, no markings, anyone seen one before?

also a better shot of my arr4 kit, pity no key, but wonder if it ever had one

The bakelite oil bottle is a Mk.V oil bottle for Lee-Enfield rifles, made during WWII (and after) as a production economy (instead of the brass oil bottles)

another style arr 44 marking, would expect to see late war oilers in tan kits, though have seen more of the later type in blue kits so far..anyway thought this was interesting variation, the contents do not look original to the kit though (not shown)

2nd picture is an RCO 44 kit sold recently on ebay..believe these are the original contents, shows the 'other' late type oiler with screw bottom only

Just received my first cleaning kit marked KY1937. It's complete and all is marked with the same maker. After receiving this one I must say I am hooked now and feel the need to start collect these as well. Thanks to all for this very interesting thread which definitely will help me on my way

                                RG34 cal.22

Gentlemen, so far I have found 2 cal.22 RG34, both without the Hülsenkopfwischer (some name it key or spoon). Of course I know that these are missing very often, but might it be possible that the cal.22 cleaning kits were issued generally without it? I doubt that it has a real function with .22 rifles. Please look/consider and let me know your result.
