Super addition to your collection - have never seen this RBNr. before. Can you send me some pics of this zelt opened up so I can see the full camo pattern and the corner eyelets? Would be much appreciated.

Happy new year to you - hope '10 you'll find many more great zelts to add to your collection

          Hi Mark,
Wishing you and all the other viewers all the best for 2010

This is not the same zelt, got this zelt a few weeks ago, I allso have not seen this type of RB number before.

Hard to take any good pic's right now, it is on display now on a mannequin.

          Cheers

          Edwin

Anyone seen this marking and these flat style buttons???

This marking is in one corner of the zelt...

...and this is in the other corner of the same zelt.

All of the buttons except like 5 are the flat style on the left.

                        Hello Frontkampfer
Very interesting zelt for several reason - thanks for posting it.
Not seen these flat 3 hole buttons on a zelt before. Can you post a more 3 dimensional view of it.

It is surprising that it has a factory stamp dated May '40 and also an RbNr. which came much later. Perhaps the RbNr isnt original? Normally you dont see both on a zelt.

I have seen one zelt with the closest RbNr. to yours 0/0250/0908 which I believe Edwin sold on ebay some time ago. It is difficult to tell if its the same number as yours - last group of digits is faint on your zelt. This RbNr. is from the maker Franz Weck and normally associated with Field division jackets and Knockensacks.

Also not familiar with this stamp - are you able to read the first two lines? They look fairly faint in the photo. Often if you soak the corner in water and let it partially dry its easier to make out the stamp.

Can you post additional pics of the zelt laid out so I can see the camo pattern better and the and a close up of the corner with all the eyelets would be helpful.

                        Thanks
                        Mark

Love the setups you have .
Looks like a very nice FC jacket in the background

Just a quick question - can you tell me if there is one or 2 small eyelets above the large one? They're covered by the top corner. Also is that steel button original to the zelt - looks like the rest are all zinc?

                          Thanks
                          Mark

                                Mongrol zelt.

Hi all ,here are a few more pictures of this unusual zelt, note that only the left hand panel material has the striped pattern to it.The right hand panel still has the unusual rain strokes on it and has some bleed through of the pattern from the dark side of the zelt. The stripes are visible on the dark side.
