    new addition just arrived

this new addition just arrived today, a somewhat salty #1 planetree zelt thought I'd post pics of the stamps and some details to keep the tread moving.

Although faded, traditional "Warie" double stamped early '40 zelt

    Thanks
    Mark

              5. Unusual feature:
the large and small eyelets are reversed. Normally the top is on the spring side and the backs are on the fall side. Here we see green backs on the summer side, tops are brown and on the Fall side.

Just speculation but, perhaps, the factory didnt have any green painted tops that day, only brown tops and green bottoms, so they had to be reversed. This is the first time I've seen this on an early war zelt.

                          Hi John,

Actually, I have that brown here with me in HK so just dug it out and shot the stamp for you. Glad it helped clear that mystery up.

                          Thanks again

Fellow zelt collectors - here is a new addition. Although difficult to read in the photo its:
                            Salzmann & Comp. ********* 1933
                            Attached Files

second and 3rd stamp on the Salzmann zelt is:

                              B36 - accepted into Berlin Depot '36

                              Flak Wei
                              Obr. Res
                              1936

Anyone have any idea what this stamp refers to:

                              Thanks again

Another late war but undated zelt with an RbNr I have not seen before:

                                0/0911/0003

Last digit is difficult to read but Im pretty sure its a "3"

This zelt also has an additional stamp on the head flap: Circle with 13.

                                Thanks for looking
