    I agree

Another late war FELDFLASCHE comes home to roost.

      Hey guys,

The post man shoved this under the door on Friday...

Nice MN44 dated red bottle with MN43 green steel cup.

Interesting markings on the pigskin strap...only ones I could find on the straps by the way.

          OK, maybe me now
two weeks ago I bought few canteens and messkits on militaria show in Lodz.

and here is really nice canteen marked FWBN37 on cup and FWBN38 on bottle, screw, straps and cover. On straps is Bekleidungs Lager im Luftgaukommando II stamp. Canteen is also named on cup and bottle screw

now thats something new for me...as suspected from initial pictures, the holding strap was a two-part affair. your latest pics prove that. how queer! quite interesting, as hadnt seen it before. a way of utilizing shorter leather pieces while still achieving the length required to keep the bottle secured. thanks for the lesson. crikes! now that feature does have a late feel.

Today I got the coco which is the "mintiest" one I've ever held in my hands. This one was found a month ago in the attick in my home town. It's never had any liquid in it, has no scratches etc. All parts that painted are like brand new. My hands still shake
