Nice Tunic, and with a fair Price. To pay 10k and more for something restored, nothing very smart to do

I own a few. But thats not the point. Look at your Tunic. It is nice without a Question. But what you really have there? A Tunic and Effects, not a thing more or less. You will never be able to tell what your Tunic was when it started its life. You put the Insignias there and thats it. In fact anyone can go, buy a naked SS Tunic, just a few days back there where a few at HH Auctions for 1.500-2000 Euro. Then you go buy the Effects from the Unite you like, but them and you have your Tunic, done. Not something you need to be god to do so. And that is why i say, for something like this, i pay the price for the Tunic naked and for the Effects and maybe a bit more or less depend how good the Job of restoring is done. I personal would not pay a cent for a Tunic whats impossible to research and where i never will be able to tell what it was and who it had. Thats of course my opinion and my way of collecting, other have a different one and like just how it looks and not care on the background of it.

I have to show nothing. There are enough untouched Tunics out there, one was just sold here for around 6k. And that was a real nice Tunic. If someone likes to post his untouched tunics he will. I just write here what opinion i have on restored Tunics in general. Your Tunic is nice, and i wish you all the best in selling it.

So in your professional opinion, was the Panzer WSS tunic restored or unrestored ?

The Panzer tunic looks nice but I don't care for the wide rank litze, most fake litze are wide like that. Tunic looks assembled in 2017 IMO.

Thanks John - I had a feeling you would chime in.
You would have to agree though, generally speaking, 99% of WSS Officers tunics in collections today are restored in one way, shape or form. With all due respect, how can we verify your claim to an unrestored tunic. It all boils down to the story that you were given when you purchased it. My point being is that you are a senior collector. Does that give a trump card in your take on provenance?
How can you be sure you've not been taken. Is it experience? Gut feeling?
Please don't take this as an insult. I'm curious to know as I'm sure other younger collectors would. BTW - that's an ugly tunic you have ..
