So you don't know your craft. You rely only on dealers you "like" to purchase? Not a very good strategy, friend.

It is an "untouched" SS tunic which is very rare..Most are just ones with replaced insignia but many collectors who own these would never want to know so they can justify the high price tag they paid because it is in better condition.
So,would you rather an untouched original applied insignia W-SS tunic with damage for $18K,or one with post war replaced insignia in perfect condition for $18K.

Someone out there will always pay a ridiculous price to own something that they can stare at and pretend it gives them status in this hobby. Most of them don’t even do historical research about their items...I’ve actually had people say, “ I just like it cause it’s cool. “ and when you own cool the suck ups and kiss butts swarm to you . Praise to the old school collectors who do it for interest in history and preservation and have fun selling and trading.

That still doesn't tell me how the figure was set. Has another one been sold that the price can be compared to . If not and it is so rare even with damage, why stop at 18K, why not 50K. Point is a number was applied and folks are taking that as a standing price Ron

Stuff is hopping from 700 to 10K to 18K, there's no balance, this is purely dealer behavior.. regardless the item.., it's based on nothing but finding that one stupe.
The patron of earning money in this hobby is very clear, raising prices every minute, even if you don't sell the item in a million years.
Only few care for the history and a bit of balance in the hobby etc, the rest is mainly busy playing this money game, two different things .. Price tag collectors, loads of them..

A sucker is born every minute, find him and sell it for $18,000.

It is all what someone is willing to pay..For some $18K is peanuts.
I could care less what someone asks for something..Either I am willing to pay that amount and if not I just move on to something else.
Do you think if I whine to Ferrari or Porsche they will drop the price on their cars?

They will if the fenders have mouse holes in them.
