LAH White Tunic...Should I buy or run away fast?

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate your thoughts. I see what you mean on the LAH cyphers looking drilled out. The Germans were far better craftsmen than that, and would not have produced something that looks that rough. Good observation!

He's only asking about $1000, which sounded way too good to be true, but is the cuff title alone worth that? And how about the value of the collar tabs? Would it be worth it just for the CT and tabs....and possibly the eagle?

I don't like the stitching on that tunic. Here is my summer white tunic for an Obersturmfuhrer with original tabs and eagle (all screw back). I can compare the tunic and tabs. You will need better pics, but please feel free to PM me too.

So far no one has really said anything negative about the collar tabs or cuff title, so I'm concluding that the general consensus is that they are OK??
But the eagle.....and for sure the shoulder boards ....are questionable.

this tunic has been orbiting the collectors space for like 3 4 years now.
I remember in other forum someone claimed to have found it in some attic.
Then it was offered for sale there. Dissapiered and appeared some motths after at some other place. I dont remebember where.

Now its here.

That looks like a nice 2000-2500 flatwire cufftitle alone, and the boards could be good with bad cyphers (piping/tops look fine). Rank tab is the type I like with the good fine piping - I'd look over the tunic in hand but concur it's propbably bad.

Be careful buying this at such a reduced price - esp if it's on Craigslist, Facebook, or the like. Could be lifted pictures.

Is that eagle sewn on?
Also unusual to see a white tunic with a black cufftitle stitched down hard to it.
Most originals I've seen have all removable insignia and no cufftitle, or a light coloured one that will stand laundering.
As anyone who's ever had to wear a white uniform knows these things are filthy by the end of the day need regular washing with whitener to keep them looking smart.
Sewn on black insignia that's in great condition - ie the cufftitle - would suggest to me it's not original to the jacket.

Then he either knows it's a mock up or doesn't know what the band is worth.
Ask for it on approval for a week before payment then post better pics of the band and tabs.
The story is bull****. Those are drilled LAH cyphers all day long so either he's a bull**** artist or his dad was.
But that cufftitle - which ironically is the biggest miss in terms of what should or shouldn't be on there - looks like it could be good.
If it's an original band then hell yes buy it, bin the rest and keep the cuff

Lower pockets are patch, not slash. Not a good sign. I'd be amazed if any of the insignia was real, but stranger things have happened, I guess.
