All this proves is there were fakes in the 1960s , not exactly a new discovery. In fact most of those fakes (clothingwise) wouldn't fool anyone today. In 1969 there were few reference materials available so stuff like this was much easier to peddle .

The pinks are not just some crap cobbled together .

I appreciate your concern for the “believers” and I will take all of the help that I can get. You should know that I was collecting 3rd Reich in 69 when this antique book was first published. I recall the the book when it was new as well. The characteristics and many of the circumstances associated with these smocks are very different from any other series of fake or repro that I am familiar with either before 1980 or since. That observation does not make them original, but there are very specific facts that apply to these that are known first hand. Some but not all relate to the stamps. No amount of dismissing these as added later will change the knowledge of truth that is known by those who examined them in 1981. Likewise it is impossible for anyone who was not collecting in the 1960s (or 70s) to understand what was going on with fakes in those periods.

Absolutely correct statement. Those first and uniforms + caps secundary and camo no value unless you're a hunter...Little value back in those days...

Again the pic posts of Owen have zero to do with the brick smocks.

You have zero arguments left as well.

I honestly thought you were smarter than that.

Seriously, am I the only one who read the first paragraph about the faker in Vienna?

It's pretty easy to read when it is in black and white and in your face.

Curious readers may want to do a little Google research on von Mollendorf.

Yes indeed. You spoiled my finale with Owen! Most of us know the junk book Owen leans on here with its secret and sacred revelations on how to detect “Nazi” fakes was in fact written by one of the greatest fraud artist of modern history, Peter Stahl.

As was correctly posted above, Vienna was the source of many fake medals through Souval. Nothing new for Collectors who have been around and bothered with items in addition to SS camo. Many of us know of the depth and breadth of the scams attributed to Stahl or his real name I think Steel, should have been STEAL.

Owen, it’s a big world out there. You have much yet to see.
