I think saying dealer this dealer that why not just name the dealers who sold them not ever body is privy to this information.The only UK dealer I know, would have been Flatken as he was knocking out just about everything from uniforms to Para helmets all fake.Getting most of his gear from Czechoslovakia

Wow Dennis, that was a super-speedy capture of a sentence before I corrected it less than 45 seconds after reading I'd omitted a word. Thanks for catching it. The sentence reads correctly in the actual thread.

Robert, if you go and read a few old threads from around this period, Lorenzo was posting photos of his collection of camo and he had literally dozens and dozens of smocks, trousers etc etc. He also publicly stated that he'd been collecting camo for at least 30 years and that he'd started when he was 10 years old!

Does that sound like someone who would unwittingly sell not one or two but numerous dubious camo items? Not only that but he then conveniently "forgets" that he ever sold those items.

In fairness, I doubt very much that he is the mastermind.

I couldn't think of a better way to put it so I'll just quote myself and add this.

That kind of info very rarely, if ever sees the light of day.

Simply put, a lot of people were obviously involved in this scam but Lorenzo was the one who got caught with his pants down.

Or put another way they all sell fake third reich militaria and its up to the buyer to know there stuff.

I'm saying I was told that there were UK dealers who found out (along with no-doubt European and U.S. dealers) and who cleared out any of these they may have acquired and didn't touch covers again.
