Especially those with provenance, these are the true baseline collectors ought to follow. Thanks for sharing Chris.

Post number 68 to 72, my cap is on top and your cap is on the bottom. I explained this in post number 68. "You need to put on your seeing eyes"

And what finer comparison could one make in life than to compare with a cap both blessed and owned by "the kammo man". I kid you not .

Here is a side by side comparison of one of my caps with one of your caps so all can see the finer detail that one only learns by handling all those caps and networking

Your cap is a wee bit "pink" Owen but I would not call it "pink with crappola" by any stretch of the imagination. Lets settle for "block and red/ brown brickie"

          Chris
Post 73 are all mine and all veteran brought back

          Chris
p.s. hey Owen, would you like a photo of them taken beside today's newspaper

Why not post your caps beside your empty wine bottles and the Boxing Day paper......
If they even have a newspaper in your neck of the back woods.

I can do better than that Owen,

I can post it beside cut-off SS tunic sleeves and cuff-titles that were picked up at the same time in 1945 and eagles and skulls and collar tabs and edelweiss and even more. Want to see the soldbuch's

And all on Boxing day and all from the same SS unit .

What a lovely day for getting SS cammo caps out for for sure and look at all the different patterns their caps were made from Owen

                Chris

This is one of my favourites Owen,

Have you got one in this pattern Owen ?

If you have then please show it here.

In fact it is now your turn to show something new in SS cammo caps and rock our socks off,

                  Chris

The NZ veteran did not wear an SS smock to paint a house. Your being silly now.

Too hot especially for in-door painting. But I tell you what Owen, he swore by these caps for keeping the paint out of your hair and for lasting a good while.

If only I could have got the ones he trashed over the years

I tell you what though Owen.

Man did that 7th SS Division wear some camo. The smock were not too hot for them. They were just right

Love these images Owen and look at all the patterns

This is one of the SS units the New Zealanders encountered in the north of Italy 1945 but it was camo galore unit for sure,

                              Your answer makes no sense

Let's see your vet smocks Chris ?

Please answer why the Cap you said was not an SS Cammo cap as you stated ?

Why post some nz hick reference old school stuff ?

Have you handled any SS cammo items at length ?

                              Let's hear some answers
