You need to have the professional dealers here have 'Dealer' below their usernames its one of the reasons most of my friends won't join. They see it as mostly a dealer trade promotional site, right or wrong.

I for one don't know were I would be had it not been for my fellow collectors sharing their knowledge. Its what makes this sight so great. I guess I do know were I would be, with a collection full of crap. My first experience here was when ErichS told me a 1929 reichsparteitag (non-portable) was garbage AND WHY! He saved me several hundred dollars, because he was happy to share his passion for early reichsparteitag. Let us all not forget why we got into this collecting thing, for some of us it's not a business (which is fine) It's the passion for that piece of history that we can hold, display, and protect for the future generations. Ok you get the point, now wipe away that tear in your eye and get back to searching for treasures!!!

That's all been said a million times before. Are you a dealer?
For all I know your both dealers and what's your name even your first name for crying out loud?
See what I mean?
Mine is Eric Horsfield a private collector of 45yrs with what I like to call a revovling door collection as I grow tired of items I flip to get something new and keep the interest fresh and exciting.
Its very difficult in this economy and I've no idea how much longer I can afford it.
Recently a fellow member here stopped me from making a 2k mistake (also a private collector) I sent him a pm not blast it all over the forum incognito mode. Its enough and I am forever indebted.
Read post #78 by Ian pretty much sums up my mates feelings that's why they check in and read about gear but don't join.
TR has big problems that need to be sorted out, no better place than forums like this.
Regards
Eric

Thanks for your kind words Electric and I was glad to be able to help a fellow collector.
Eric, I am NOT a dealer but a private collector who has been in the hobby since 1968.Last edited by ErichS; 09-23-2012, 01:01 PM.
