Thanks for posting the backside. The belt configuration is army, not political and certainly not allgemeine SS. You would think that of all the tailors, Holters would not make this mistake especially someone of that rank. Interesting.

M36 officer greatcoats army style were worn by SS early on also.there is no such thing as an a-SS cut greatcoat,SS yes,but not allgemiene. The jacket whatever style is original.Peter do I need backup with you again? We just got done argueing if there are 2 rows of stitching per stripe on an SS armband!Ofcourse there are.

I do not agree. The SS and political units had a very specific belt configuration, especially Allgemeine SS. I will post some examples a bit later.

                Sleeve eagle

Also, how do you explain a sleeve eagle on an Allgemeine coat that is not LAH?

Have you not seen high ranking dove grey Allgemeine SS uniforms before?Seyss Inquart comes to mind,SS mess dress, grey allgemeine unifroms had eagles. Or how about my cape?both allgemeine, your starting to sound silly now.ever saw HIMMLERS GREY UNIFORM BEFORE??OR HOWABOUT A GREY SD UNIFORM???

Of course Allgemeine SS wore the second pattern sleeve eagle on their grey uniforms...only during the time of the first pattern sleeve eagle was it reserved for the LAH...

Yes, if someone wants an army pattern Allgemeine coat. I did not mean to introduce too many topics at once. I will explain my reason for the sleeve eagle later.

Did I ask you?We wont hold our breaths on the sleeve eagle explanation. There is always that ONE,Peter Im not even gonna address you, whether you have a point or not, time and time again your wrong, and everyone knows that.im done with your stupidity. If anyone wants discuss their thoughts on whether this combination is ok or not, please do,we already know Peters. And why SS eagles only belong on LAH tunics.God.

Anyhow, all seems right with insignia, tailor tags etc,I dont see hwy this wouldnt be done, anyhow.Could someone else give an opinion here?

Don't be upset. This is just a fun discussion about your coat. I think learning about the army vs the SS belt configuration is an interesting topic.

Honestly Peter, dont you think all these members would have noticed just by the color that this is an army pattern coat?Did you also know before the black coats SS men wore police coats?

Just a small correction. The first pattern sleeve eagle was not reserved for the LAH. It can be seen being worn by all branches of the of the SS-VT and SS-TV on the grey uniform.
