The tag and band are good, something seems odd about way the 'p' is embroidered but if it's a fake it's fooled me.

                Thanks Ian.

I need more opinions on this piece as I've not encountered this before.
Was this a less commonly worn piece? Any estimates on value?

                Cheers,
                Mil

Based on what I see, I say it is an original cuff title! rare and nice!
The "P" is one of several possible versions used.

Originals speak to you, and this does! Would be happy to own that one!

                    Cheers,
                    Felix

                      Felix I agree, possible OK.

Those have to judged very well, I was once very close to get fooled with years ago with a really top repro with the SS-Inspection in bullion.

                        Felix,

Could you kindly provide some images or photos as a reference, please?

Gentlemen, we're getting some mixed feelings here.
Quite a dangerous minefield on this one.

You are correct Robert... there are some dangerous replica cuffs out there as we both know... I have seen what you have shown me and IMHO this is not such a case. IMO original and nice cuff title.

                          Best,
                          Felix

There are only "poor" graphic images in angolias book, p 150. (With the risk of being labeled as a reference book fascist. ) I refer mainly to what is accepted as war time embroidery, and in the context of the quality of the photos. And from my own experience... These hand embroidred cuff titles can vary in the execution and sometimes give the wrong "impression" from photos. One shall try to look beyond that, and as Ian rightfully wrote, check if the black band is original as well as the tag. In this case both are ok.
                            For the "P" see p 98.

                            Cheers,
                            Felix

I did a search on WAF but nothing turned up on this CT.

I hope someone could enlighten me if this a fairly rare piece and the history behind it? Greatly appreciated.

                              Thank you.
