Don said he would be at the MAX. And, that if The Larry Lipps ring was brought there,, and this box,, he could prove the box from this topic is fake.

This sounds interesting. A chance for Don and Craig and onlookers to get to the bottom of this ring and box issue. kinda like a 'ring off' at dawn Hopefully doesn't turn in to a 'box off'

Do you? If so post a copy of them.

        Fascinating thread.
Just wondering; does anyone have photos of the different (3 or more) variations of boxes? or at least another version of the "striped" box?

could this be an original box with striped cord added later by recipient, a family member, or even an amateur collector long ago?

        Cheers,
        Jp

Whatever will be discussed in future about possible production methods and whoever might be wrong or right regarding that matter - this thread is an eye opener!

This thread has been nothing more than character assassination and has been from day one when the ring and box appeared.Whos character? You be the judge of that.

What do you want to say with that?
Could you please be more precise?

It should be obvious to anyone. The thread has not been about what makes the box and ring right or wrong. It's been about who says the ring and box is right or wrong. Which is really no concern of mine. Thats it.

Any "COA" in this business is just a written personal opinion which is for sale - one can buy it or not.

And apart from other offers within service sectors none of any offerers combine it with any kind of guaranted security - either one believes or not.

But that´s not really big news.

True, but in this day and age one would have a difficult time selling an HR for big $, which originals seem to be getting, without a DB COA.

Thorsten is right. I sell them without DB certificates all the time, for top dollar. Anyway, this shouldn't be about character assasination . . . I would really enjoy seeing Don prove that the box is fake. I would ask that he evaluate the box in person, in front of a group of collectors, so we can all be educated. I hope that Don will also provide an explanation as to which flaws are missing from this ring, which he papered as original (I will post close-up photos of ALL the rune panels for review, next week). In the interim, I'll post photos of this box along side Larry's box, which I have close-up photos of from my book, and you all can see just how "poor" a "copy" this box is. I just ask that people remain civil in this conversation, and make it about the box and ring, not about Don's reputation.

It was a big mistake when Franks honor ring was dismised as fake, it hase the same casting flaws as the one posted in this thread, but mistake was made and now it must be corected, regarding the box i belive its original 3 Raich made!

If indeed the Frank ring was real! It seemed to drop off the radar.

Any other Ehrenring has nothing to do with this set and this thread - so stick to the topic.

Maybe Craig and Don could have the discusion and debate at one of the Max seminars ,sure would be a crowd puller. If so could someone record it and put it on U-tube for us all to listen and watch Craig could prepare the photographs for the presentation on the big screen to discuss.
